This Privacy Policy explains how Codeatic ("Codeatic," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use codeatic.com and the tools on it. It covers this website only. Our mobile applications have their own policy.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Codeatic, which is the data controller for the personal information described here. For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@codeatic.com.
2. What we collect, and when
Browsing the site. You can read every page without giving us anything. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
The free automation audit. This tool has two separate parts:
- The business you ask about. The name, website or location you enter is sent to OpenAI, which searches the public web and returns what it finds. We store the resulting report along with what you searched for. This is business information, not personal information about you, but if you enter your own name as a sole trader, treat it as personal.
- Your contact details. To see the full report and download it as a PDF, you give us your name, email address, phone number and company. All four are required. We store them with the audit you requested, and if you run more audits with the same email address, we keep them together as one record. The audit runs, and the first part of the report is shown, whether or not you fill in the form. If the tool has reached its daily limit, we also keep the business you asked about, so we can run the audit for you later.
The brief form. If you send us a brief, you give us your name, email address, phone number, company and company size. All five are required; the message is optional. We store what you send on our own server, and if you have also used the audit tool with the same email address, we keep it together as one record.
Booking a call. If you book a discovery call through Calendly, we receive the details you enter in Calendly's booking form.
Other ways you contact us. If you get in touch another way, for example on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook or WhatsApp, or someone introduces you to us, we may record your name, how to reach you, your company and where you came from, in the same system as the forms, so we can follow up. We may also run the audit on your business ourselves, which sends its name or website to OpenAI in the same way.
Technical information. Our web server keeps standard access logs. For the audit tool and the brief form we store a one-way salted hash of your IP address, never the address itself. It exists solely to count requests so neither can be abused, and it cannot be reversed to identify you or your location.
We do not collect payment details on this website.
3. Why we use it
- To run the audit you asked for and show you the result
- To send you your report and follow up about it by email or phone, including about working together
- To keep the audit tool and the brief form from being abused, and the audit from running up costs, using the hashed address described above
- To reply to briefs and other messages, and arrange calls
If you give us your details through the audit tool or the brief form, expect us to contact you about it. We will not add you to a general mailing list, and every message we send includes a way to stop hearing from us.

Our own database and uploaded files sit on a server we control in Europe. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
5. How long we keep it
- Audit reports and what was searched: up to 24 months
- Contact details, briefs, and what we record when you contact us another way: up to 24 months after our last contact with you
- Hashed addresses used for rate limiting: deleted with the record they belong to
- Server access logs: up to 90 days
We delete or anonymise information once it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for follow-up. Email info@codeatic.com and we will action it within 30 days. You do not need an account, and you will not be asked why.
If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
7. Security
Access to the database is restricted and the administration area sits behind authentication on a separate subdomain. Backups are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep the amount of personal information we hold deliberately small, which is why addresses are hashed and why contact details are stored separately from the reports themselves.
8. Children
This website is intended for businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
9. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes affecting how we use information you have already given us will be notified to you by email where we hold an address for you.
