Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 29, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Codeatic ("Codeatic," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application (the "App") and related services. By downloading or using the App, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Who we are
The App is provided by Codeatic. For any privacy-related questions or requests, you can contact us at info@codeatic.com. Codeatic is the data controller responsible for your personal information as described in this Policy.
2. Information we collect
a. Information you provide
- Account information: when you create an account or sign in, we collect information such as your name, email address, and profile details. You may sign in using an email and password, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple, in which case we receive basic profile information from that provider.
- Content you submit: the App lets you upload or enter content (such as documents, files, or text) so the App can process it and return results. This content, and the results generated from it, are stored to provide the App's features (for example, saving your history) unless you delete it.
- Communications: if you contact us for support or feedback, we collect the information you choose to share.
b. Purchase and subscription information
The App offers auto-renewable subscriptions and other in-app purchases. Payments are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not by us. We receive information about your subscription status and transactions (for example, that a purchase was made and its type) so we can unlock features, but we do not collect or store your full payment card or bank details.
c. Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data: device model, operating system, app version, language, time zone, and how you interact with the App.
- Diagnostics: crash reports and performance data that help us fix problems and improve stability.
- Identifiers: app-instance identifiers, and an approximate location inferred from your IP address.
- Push notifications: if you enable them, we process a device push token to send you notifications. You can turn these off in your device settings.
3. How we use your information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the App and its core features.
- To process the content you submit and return the results you request (see Section 4).
- To create and manage your account and authenticate you.
- To manage your subscriptions, purchases, and access to paid features.
- To understand usage, diagnose problems, and improve the App.
- To communicate with you about updates, security, and support.
- To protect against fraud, abuse, and security risks, and to comply with legal obligations.
4. AI processing and third-party providers
To deliver the App's core functionality, some of the content you submit is sent securely to third-party artificial-intelligence providers, including OpenAI, which process it and return results to you. Only the information needed to perform the requested task is transmitted.
OpenAI does not use data submitted through its API to train its models, and retains such data only for a limited period to monitor for abuse and misuse before deleting it, in accordance with its policies. We encourage you to review OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
We rely on the following trusted service providers to run the App. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service to us:
| Provider | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging) | Sign-in, data storage, app analytics, crash reporting, and notifications | https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| OpenAI | AI processing of the content you submit | https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy |
| Apple App Store / Google Play | Processing subscriptions and in-app purchases | https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/ · https://policies.google.com/privacy |
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers: with the providers listed above, who process data on our behalf to run the App.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid government request, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users, the public, or Codeatic.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you of any change to this Policy.
6. Data retention
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App and for the purposes described in this Policy. Content you submit and the results generated from it are retained so the App can offer features such as history, until you delete that content or your account. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it, unless we are required to retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
7. Your choices and rights
You can:
- Access, update, or correct your account information within the App.
- Delete your content, and delete your account, which removes your associated personal information as described above.
- Turn off push notifications through your device settings.
- Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights:
- EEA / UK (GDPR): rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, and to data portability. Our legal bases for processing are your consent, the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the App, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw consent at any time and have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): rights to know, access, delete, and correct your personal information, and to opt out of "sale" or "sharing." We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@codeatic.com. We will respond as required by applicable law.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit using HTTPS and access controls on our systems. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International data transfers
We and our service providers may process and store your information on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, we take steps to ensure your information receives an adequate level of protection when transferred internationally.
10. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, such as 16 in the EEA/UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@codeatic.com and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
